Gran Turismo 6 officieel aangekondigd
Het racespel Gran Turismo 6 verschijnt dit najaar nog voor PlayStation 3. De game bevat alle auto's en racebanen uit het vijfde deel, maar is aangevuld met klassieke auto's, meer raceauto's en meerdere banen. In totaal moeten twaalfhonderd realistisch nagemaakte auto's in het spel verwerkt zitten.
Meer auto's worden als betaalde download aangeboden, schrijft gameweblog The Sixth Axis op basis van een uitgelekte informatie. Sony presenteert woensdagmiddag op het Britse racecircuit Silverstone het nieuwe racespel. Volgens diverse Britse media is de uitgelekte informatie accuraat, maar niet compleet.
Op elke PlayStation-spelcomputer zijn twee spellen uit de Gran Turismo-reeks verschenen. Gran Turismo 5 werd eind 2010 uitgeven voor PlayStation 3. Binnen de reeks zijn 68 miljoen spellen verkocht sinds het eerste deel in 1997 werd uitgegeven.
Naar alle waarschijnlijkheid is Gran Turismo 6 het laatste grote spel van Sony voor PlayStation 3. Dit najaar, vermoedelijk niet lang na de release van de racegame, legt Sony de PlayStation 4 in de winkel.
